Are you Interested in Working in Childcare?

Five Reasons to work in Childcare

1.  Working with children is fulfilling. If you decide to take a career in the childcare sector you get to help develop children's minds in order to prepare them for the future. It's a privilege to shape a child's life.
2. Seeing the children develop as young people. Having the freedom to be able to give the children you care for the opportunities both indoors and outdoors to develop their own interests and personalities.
3. The relationships you build. Helping children  feel secure so that they can freely access fun activities, which help them to learn in their preferred learning style. Children's emotional wellbeing is built on secure relationships.
4. Working with children in early years settings is extremely rewarding.
Creating happy children, positive futures
and knowing that you have made a difference in a child's life is extremely satisfying.
5. You can make the world a better place.
Helping children grow and develop has a huge impact on the child, their family and their approach to the world they live in. Working in childcare allows you to influence the future.

People who work in childcare are our heroes!

It sounds such an amazing job.

Childcare professionals are paid to play and work in a fun environment making a positive difference for young children.  They are fuelled by the satisfaction that comes from seeing the children grow and develop, happily engaged in the work of childhood; play.  They get to build relationships and trust with the children and their parents.

But there is so much more to the role.  The responsibility that childcare professionals take on when looking after children is enormous.  They make sure that the children are safe and secure, both physically and emotionally.  They have a mountain of observations, assessments, next steps developments and teachable moments to record and plan for.

There is a breadth of knowledge and understanding of child development needed to be an effective Early Years Educator.  Childcare professionals have often spent years studying for childcare qualifications to give them the ability to provide the children with developmentally appropriate play based learning opportunities.

It takes real commitment to be an effective Ealy Years Educator.

We know what it takes to be a great Early Years Educator and become Childcare Rockstars!

We already have the largest staff team who we believe are probably the best Early Years Educators on the Island, however we are always looking for talented people who can bring their skills and enthusiasm to our purpose; creating Happy Children, Positive Futures.
